Creatine Monohydrate - The #1 Most Relevant Supplement
Creatine monohydrate is widely recognized as the most scientifically studied dietary supplement due to its extensive research history and application in sports. Since its introduction in the 1990s, it has been the subject of a huge volume of scientific and experimental studies. This long track record has allowed a considerable body of evidence to accumulate, making it a constant focus of interest in the sports field since the first conclusions were published.
The consistency of results obtained in different contexts has strengthened its position as a reliable and widely accepted dietary supplement.
Also, creatine monohydrate has been studied in a variety of populations, including elite athletes, sedentary people, elderly individuals, and people with a wide range of personal characteristics. This diversity in research has allowed its impact to be evaluated across different demographic groups and a broad range of situations, expanding the knowledge about its safe and effective use. The ability to replicate results in different studies and contexts has been key to consolidating its status as the most scientifically studied product in history.
Finally, the interdisciplinary nature of creatine monohydrate research has significantly contributed to its extensive body of evidence. Researchers from various fields such as physiology, nutrition, sports sciences, and related disciplines have investigated this compound’s characteristics, each bringing unique perspectives and varied methodologies. This multifaceted approach has allowed creatine to be explored from multiple angles, resulting in a deep and robust understanding of this compound.
Currently, Creatine is the substance with the highest volume of high scientific rigor references, receiving positive endorsements from various internationally recognized entities, thanks to the number of meta-analyses and systematic reviews published supporting its use.

The Creapure® Patent Is Not Just Any Patent - Find Out Why
100% Creatine Monohydrate. The Most Studied Form
Creatine monohydrate is the most studied form of creatine mainly due to its longevity and availability on the market. Since creatine started gaining popularity, monohydrate was the first form developed and widely marketed. This version, the simplest and purest form of creatine, has remained the research standard due to its stability, effectiveness, and accessibility. As initial studies showed positive and consistent results, researchers continued using this form in subsequent studies, creating an extensive database on its safety and effectiveness.
Also, creatine monohydrate has served as a comparative reference in research evaluating new forms of creatine, such as creatine ethyl ester or creatine HCl. To determine if these new variants offered any additional benefits, they had to be compared with the best-known and most studied form, monohydrate. This has led to a disproportionate amount of research focusing on monohydrate, further reinforcing its position as the creatine form with the most scientific studies backing it.
Currently, monohydrate is considered the best form of creatine to use, and practically 100% of high-level athletes who use creatine take it in monohydrate form.
Guarantees of Contaminant-Free Production
Creapure® creatine is a creatine monohydrate patent known for its rigorous quality control during production, which guarantees the absence of contaminants such as dihydrotriazine (DHT) and dicyandiamide (DCD). These compounds can form as unwanted by-products during the chemical synthesis of creatine, especially when manufacturing processes are not strictly controlled.
Creapure®, produced in Germany by AlzChem Trostberg GmbH, uses advanced technology and strict purification protocols to ensure its creatine is free from these contaminants. This thorough control has made Creapure® one of the safest and purest creatine forms available on the market.
Creapure®’s commitment to quality is also reflected in its purity guarantees, assuring users that its raw material meets the highest safety standards. Creapure® production follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), involving rigorous monitoring of every stage of the manufacturing process to minimize impurity risks.
Although this might seem 'normal,' not all creatines can guarantee this, and while our creatine monohydrate (non-Creapure®) has also been analyzed and verified as free of contaminants to the same standard as Creapure®, not all creatines from other companies can ensure this.

Creatine Is the Ideal Supplement for Athletes
Creatine is one of the most popular and studied dietary supplements in sports due to its multiple effects on physical performance. This compound is naturally found in small amounts in certain foods and the human body. During high-intensity exercises, like weightlifting or sprints, creatine plays a biological role that helps athletes improve their overall performance during training sessions.
The most relevant effects of creatine are:
Listed on the Cologne List - What Does It Mean?
The 'Cologne List' is an initiative created in Germany consisting of a database of sports dietary supplements that have been tested and certified free of banned substances by major anti-doping organizations like the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). This list was created to offer athletes and consumers a reliable source of information about products that don’t risk their sports careers due to possible contamination with illegal substances.
Products on the 'Cologne List' have passed rigorous tests in accredited labs, guaranteeing their safety and compliance with international anti-doping standards.
Obviously, all HSN products are manufactured with the highest food safety guarantees and are completely free of any contamination or banned substances for regulated sports competition use, but we like to see raw material manufacturers making their own efforts with controls that provide safety and confidence, especially when the substance is as widely used by athletes as creatine monohydrate; not just relying on us, HSN, and our certifications in Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to ensure this trust.
Alzchem Collaborates on Creatine Research
Creapure® is closely linked to scientific research on creatine, specifically through the organization 'Creatine for Health'.
The Creatine For Health website is an educational initiative aimed at raising awareness about the potential benefits of creatine use. It is supported by international researchers and offers evidence-based information on creatine use throughout life. It also organizes conferences and provides resources like books, articles, and videos related to the topic.
AlzChem’s non-sponsored collaboration with Creatine for Health is valuable for its Creapure® brand because it strengthens its positioning as a market leader in creatine by associating with prestigious scientific and educational initiatives. This alliance highlights Creapure®’s commitment to best practices by supporting research and dissemination of reliable information about creatine’s effects.

Frequently Asked Questions About Creatine Monohydrate
Is Creapure® superior to other Creatine brands?
It depends on the creatine you compare it with.
If you compare it with HSN’s Creatine Monohydrate, it’s not, since both products are Creatine Monohydrate with maximum purity and guarantees of no degradation or common contaminants from the chemical synthesis process.
If you compare it with a creatine from a brand without proper quality certifications, Creapure® is always considered the preferred option.
Does Creapure® dissolve in liquid?
No.
Creatine is not soluble in liquid, but thanks to its controlled particle size, it suspends easily and stays suspended for quite a while without settling, so it’s easy to use. But don’t expect mixing it in water to result in a completely clear solution, because with authentic creatine this isn’t possible; you’ll always see the particles.
Can I add Creapure® to my protein shake? And to my pre-workout?
Yes, of course, to both.
Creatine can be combined with any other dietary supplement without affecting its effectiveness. Using it in the same protein shake is a common practice.
Is it better to take it in capsules or powder?
At equal doses, it doesn’t matter; use whichever format you prefer.
The substance’s properties don’t differ depending on the format, so you can use it in capsules if you like.

I don't like creatine with the Creapure label, it's gritty. I like the finer form of HSN's creatine monohydrate powder better.

Neutral flavor, I would like it better if it came in a jar because the bag is a bit uncomfortable, but I am very happy with the product.

Good creatine at a good price
FJPM 30/11/2025
I have tried the normal creatine and then I have tried this one with the Creapure seal, without noticing anything particularly different if I think that this seal of quality is worth paying the price difference, it is difficult to appreciate if there is really a difference between one and the other but the price difference is not much considering the duration of the containers.
