Gotu Kola Extract - From rasayana to the present day
Gotu Kola Extract (65:1) 150mg by EssentialSeries is a food supplement made from the dry extract of Gotu Kola herb (scientific name Centella Asiatica), highly concentrated (65x more concentrated than the native herb) and standardised to 40% triterpenes. All this is presented in a vegetable capsule formula with pantothenic acid and vitamin B1.
Centella Asiatica, commonly known as Gotu Kola, is a tropical plant of the Apiaceae family, native to Southeast Asian countries such as India, Sri Lanka, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia, as well as South Africa and Madagascar. In general, it is native to the warmer regions of both hemispheres. The plant grows in moist, shady places at altitudes of over 7000 feet. It is from these areas that it has been harvested to produce the highest quality extract on offer.
This is a unique herbal extract highly regarded in Ayurveda that should be a must in your healthy food supplement stack by HSN - EssentialSeries.
A development with HSN-certified quality. Don't miss out!
Extract with all quality factors checked
Plant extracts have several characteristics that must be taken into account to ensure their quality. Among them, the following stand out:
- The part of the plant used.
- The extraction ratio.
- Standardisation.
Gotu Kola extract by HSN has all these variables controlled by our specialists in the Research and Development department. It is:
- Extracted from the Centella Asiatica herb, one of the most prized aerial parts for its natural bioactive composition.
- 65 times more concentrated, which is significantly more potent than many Gotu Kola powder products on the market.
- Standardised to 40% triterpenes, considerably higher than the plant's native content of around 2% of its composition, for greater effectiveness.
At HSN, we have been working with plant extracts for more than a decade and we are great specialists in producing the best products.
Scientifically validated dose and standardised content of triterpenes
The most recommended dose of Gotu Kola is in the range of 30 to 60mg of triterpenes, used 2 times a day. This is the standard protocol for the methodological use of Centella Asiatica in scientific studies.
We have adapted our development to the scientific evidence so that each vegetable capsule of our Gotu Kola provides 60mg of triterpenes. This is at the high end of the range of proven effectiveness for the convenient use of two capsules a day to achieve the 120mg of triterpenes recommended in studies.
Enjoy a food supplement with a guaranteed high supply of the largest group of compounds characteristic of Gotu Kola, no less than 40% of its composition.
In vegetable capsules. Food supplement suitable for vegan diets
Gotu Kola Extract by HSN is a food supplement suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.
No animal-derived ingredients have been used in its development, including the capsules, which are made from a cellulose-derived vegetable polymer known as HPMC, which allows the best usability without resorting to the use of animal-derived gelatins.
Certified species. 100% Centella asiatica - Traceable identification
We have often encountered problems in the search for herbal raw materials, as many regional companies in Asian cultivation areas do not guarantee 100% traceability of the species.
At HSN, we do not accept this. Our plant extracts are 100% of the declared species, without hybrids or crossbreeding. Our product contains Gotu Kola extract, which is 100% authentic Centella Asiatica.

Can I combine it with other food supplements? HSN expert recommendations
There are many curiosities about Gotu Kola, especially those related to its most complementary plant: Bacopa monnieri.
¿Did you know that…
some of the Gotu Kola names (Indian Pennywort and Brahmi) and ranks (Aindri, Medhya Rasayana) are used as synonyms for Bacopa monnieri, as both plants have an intertwined history in Ayurveda?
It is commonly used together with Bacopa monnieri, to the extent that the term 'Brahmi' (used to refer to Bacopa monnieri) is sometimes used to refer to the combination of both herbs.
Buy Bacopa monnieri extract by HSN to combine both extracts and consume the famous Brahmi.
