However, significant quantities of the plant parts containing the compounds of interest are required, such as hypericin, especially in the branching parts of the plant (in leaves, stems and flowers).

These quantities can't be encapsulated in sufficient amounts to note a beneficial effect, meaning companies that market St John's wort without extracting aren't offering a quality product.

  • Effective as always St. John's wort

    It is a natural antidepressant, that the time of exposure to it will condition its effectiveness, if prescribed antidepressants we need a minimum of one month to see its effects so that the receptors are sensitized, this is an extract that will need more. But I must say that it works! Be careful if you take medication or oral contraceptives, it is one of the herbs that has more interactions.
