Omega fatty acids are very delicate, as their unsaturations make them easily peroxidisable options, which is a bad thing as it makes the omegas rancid, causing them to lose their properties.

The more unsaturated they are, the more delicate they are, so a product containing such a large spectrum of these fatty acids (ALA, EPA, DHA, LA and OA) must be adequately protected.

For this, the addition of antioxidants is a practice supported by the scientific community. Antioxidants protect the fatty acids from oxygen, the sun, and the passage of time, allowing them to remain intact for the entire period of use of the food supplement.
