Made with the best raw material of turmeric rhizome extract
Turmeric is a plant highly valued worldwide, both for its culinary uses internationally and across all kinds of cuisines, from a prominent presence in regions like India and the United Arab Emirates to its use as a condiment in the West.
Besides its culinary value, the turmeric rhizome is rich in specific polyphenols contained, called curcuminoids, among which stands out the famous curcumin, and they’re the focus of current scientific research regarding the properties of turmeric extract.
Our extract is presented 50 times more concentrated, a big deal in dietary supplements since the 600 mg of turmeric rhizome extract provided per dose isn’t just 600 mg of turmeric, it’s the equivalent to 30 grams of native turmeric rhizome.
And the standardization process ensures a minimum content of 95% curcuminoids, so the recommended daily dose of our supplement provides a net total of 570 mg of curcuminoids.
We use the best raw materials for guaranteed effectiveness in our dietary supplements. It’s not just trust, it’s science and quality control.
Guaranteed supply of natural piperine from black pepper extract (BioPerine®)
The black pepper extract is a key aspect that should be present in products marketing turmeric or its extracts for functional purposes (and not culinary), since turmeric curcuminoids degrade quickly once ingested.
It is the piperine in black pepper that increases the bioavailability of these curcuminoids, and as a raw material, BioPerine® from Sabinsa is the reference:
The reference dose for increasing the bioavailability of compounds like curcuminoids, according to Sabinsa’s registered patent, is 5 mg of piperine on average.
Our supplement provides 6 mg of piperine, an effective amount to take advantage of this compound’s effects on the metabolism of curcuminoids.
2500 Gas Degradation Units of Gelatin per gram (GDU/g) – Elevated physiological activity guaranteed
Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme, while many companies market synthetic bromelain produced in a lab, our bromelain is natural, derived from the pineapple stem, a natural source highly concentrated in this enzyme.
The way to measure the amount of bromelain that is effective isn’t based solely on the 'mass' in mg but also on its biological activity.
There are many ways to measure it, many companies use measuring criteria “falsified” by not being useful, but which allow showing very large numbers on their labels. In our case we have a completely transparent policy, and we follow the reference Codex standards, which set the reference unit of measurement as GDU/g (Gelatin Degradation Units per gram).
Our natural bromelain from pineapple extract has a high functional activity that is significant at the dose provided of 500 mg. Its absolute activity is 2500 GDU/g.
The dose of Turmeric extract and Bromelain Plus provides a total of 1250 Gelatin Degradation Units.
A 200 mg dose of NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) - High concentration per unit
NAC is a type of amino acid derived from cysteine, however, its nutritional characteristics differ significantly from L-cysteine itself; N-Acetyl-Cysteine is much more valued in formulas of dietary supplements that aren’t based on providing base amino acids, like this one.
The recommended dose provides 200 mg of N-Acetyl-Cysteine, a suitable and effective concentration.
¡Don’t miss HSN’s unique formula!
Selenium in organic form (Selenomethionine) and Vitamin D in D3 form. High bioavailability
The exclusive composition of our formula couldn’t be complete without adding selenium and vitamin D, but not in any form.
Many companies take advantage of formula confusion, where attention to micronutrient presentation isn’t given, to provide them in low-quality forms.
At HSN we see this practice as an opaque tool and, frankly, as a deception, so we reject it entirely, and we opt for using, always, the best possible forms of micronutrients.
In this case, the vitamin D we use is not ergocalciferol (D2) but cholecalciferol, authentic vitamin D3 with the highest bioavailability.
And the selenium isn’t just any inorganic form of selenite, but an organic form: Selenomethionine, a selenium + methionine amino acid complex, with much better absorption, metabolism, and retention in the body.
Both micronutrients are present in meaningful amounts to take advantage of all the positive properties these compounds offer.
In vegetable capsules - Vegan formula suitable for all types of diets
At HSN we follow a criterion of 'nutritional compatibility.' We’ve asked ourselves 'why, when the compounds of a formula can be plant-based, should we use animal-sourced ones?'
This has been applied to the capsules as well, not only did we limit this criterion to the active ingredients, but also to one of the most present technological agents in the industry: the coatings.
Our coating is plant-based, derived from natural plant cellulose, it is Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and therefore, our capsules are vegan. Turning the formula into a natural, vegan supplement free of Genetically Modified Organisms.
