Natural green tea EGCG

EGCG (Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate) is a catechin, a type of compound characteristic of different tea varieties; it’s structured as an ester of gallic acid and epigallocatechin. It’s the main polyphenol found in green tea leaves, which are the plant’s most bioactive part.

Many EGCGs on the market come in ultra-purified versions, around 90%, but achieved through synthetic processing; this method is chosen because it’s cheaper and more accessible for the company selling it, lowering production costs. However, EGCG is naturally present in green tea, so we thought, why not make the most of it?

We developed our product with a top-quality raw material, a high-concentration green tea extract with ultra-purified natural polyphenol composition, selecting extraction and isolation of the specific EGCG compound to reach 95%; this lets us offer a natural EGCG with high concentration and purity.

95% EGCG - Without significant content of other catechins

Green tea extracts have varying EGCG concentrations, as long as they’re standardized, which already shows good quality control, ranging between 10-15% and 35-45%; this is only part of the product’s total polyphenol content. Our Green Tea Extract (25:1) 500mg provides that 45%, which is already a high EGCG content.

However, for exclusive use of this compound or to maximize its properties, this amount might be inefficient, so we created EGCG Complex as an optimized way to deliver this specific catechin, with a formula tailored to its specific properties.

We developed a formula with a natural high-concentration green tea extract standardized to 95% EGCG, therefore with minimal other catechins or polyphenols naturally present in green tea, ensuring a concentrated natural content of this specific catechin.

Added piperine to optimize effectiveness

Green tea catechins have been debated for decades due to inconsistent results regarding their properties; however, we now know these inconsistencies come from lack of care and consideration for absorption.

Catechins, including EGCG, have very low bioavailability, which makes it hard for them to fully show their properties and can confuse users and researchers about their real potency and effect range. The key is that high-catechin green tea extracts must be co-administered with agents that boost bioavailability, and the most famous of these is Piperine.

Piperine is an alkaloid naturally found in black pepper fruit (Piper nigrum) in varying amounts. In our EGCG Complex, we’ve added a patented black pepper fruit extract from the renowned company Sabinsa, standardized to 98.5% natural piperine.

Complex with vitamin C and zinc mineral, why?

EGCG Complex is a 'complex' because besides providing epigallocatechin gallate and piperine, its formula is complemented with other nutrients that have nutritional relevance related to the primary effects of tea catechins.

Vitamin C is an important antioxidant, helping to combat oxidative damage in cells exposed to high oxidative stress.

Meanwhile, zinc is an essential element that contributes to normal fat and carbohydrate metabolism, providing clear and relevant metabolic benefits to the overall formula.

142,5 mg of pure EGCG per capsule - Properties

Each vegetable capsule of EGCG Complex provides 142,5 mg of Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate, equivalent to 285 mg per recommended daily dose of two capsules.

The Epigallocatechin Gallate used comes from the species Camellia sinensis (green tea), which is recognized as a natural source of antioxidants.

Caffeine-free - Can be taken even at night 

One of the biggest concerns is the stimulant content of products providing EGCG, since part of their properties are naturally linked to metabolism benefits, many products simply provide green tea extracts with significant caffeine content.

Not everyone wants to consume caffeine, as it limits catechin product use, preventing intake at night due to negative effects on rest.
