For example, vitamin D is important for bone health in menopausal women, but providing cholecalciferol (D3 form), which is the best form of vitamin D, is not the same as providing ergocalciferol (D2 form). Many studies show that vitamin D3 improves vitamin D status in the body more than vitamin D2.
