What is Erythritol powder?
Erythritol powder by FoodSeries, is an additive (E-968), used as a sweetener, for use in foodstuffs.
Erythritol is a polyol widely used as a 'non-intensive' sweetener, or sugar substitute, and is widely used for its organoleptic characteristics equivalent to table sugar, which make it easier to prepare fitness recipes with it.
“Erythritol is a white, crystalline powder with an appearance, density and sweetness quality similar to sugar” (De Cock, 2018).
Why to take Erythritol powder?
Because erythritol is a non-caloric, non-insulinemic and non-glycaemic sweetener and is well tolerated (De Cock, 2018).
Sweeteners and dental health
Sweeteners are a good alternative to sugar to reduce tooth demineralisation associated with sugar consumption, as tooth decay can be prevented by avoiding dietary sugar intake (World Health Organization, 2015).
The consumption of foods and drinks containing Erythritol instead of sugar helps to maintain the mineral density of teeth by decreasing their demineralisation.
Sweeteners and glucose
It is also a useful sweetener for people with impaired glucose tolerance, such as diabetics.
Consumption of foods or beverages containing erythritol instead of sugar results in post-meal lower blood glucose elevation compared to foods and beverages containing sugar.1

It's very similar to sugar
Other sweeteners more potent than erythritol are available: like sucralose powder or xylitol powder.
Erythritol has a sweetening power of 0.7 if we take sugar as the reference (1).
This allows features such as:
- The amount to be used in desserts and recipes.
- Taste profile and intensity.
- The texture of the micronized product.
Are similar to traditional sugar, making it easier to prepare recipes and achieving better results.
Erythritol is the sweetener of choice for use in confectionery.
Heat resistant
Other sweeteners when added to hot recipes, especially in boiling liquid or baked doughs, alter their flavour profile and the result is not ideal.
Erythritol withstands the cooking temperature and its taste and texture characteristics remain optimal.
Sugar texture
Although the name of the product is 'Erythritol powder', it should not be confused with a sieved powdered density product.
Erythritol is microcrystalline in appearance, with a particle size similar (slightly larger) to table sugar.
The density of erythritol powder resembles table sugar, not icing sugar.
Vegetal
Erythritol is a non-synthetic sweetener obtained from the fermentation of a fungus called Moniliella pollinis.
The process is completely safe and the result is pure erythritol without any trace of fungal fermentation or mycotoxin content.
Erythritol powder is a plant-fermented additive suitable for vegans.
When to take Erythritol?
Erythritol can be taken at any time of the day.
Use it to give a nice sweet taste to all your dishes!
How to take Erythritol?
Use as much Erythritol as you need to achieve the degree of sweetness you prefer in your recipes.
Expert tip!
Note that the sweetening power is similar to sugar, so a dose of 6-7g to sweeten a 330ml drink may be a standard dose to achieve adequate sweetness.

A satisfied customer says:
The best sugar substitutes
Jose 26/07/2023
There are many sweeteners, but the best occasional substitute for sweetening in my opinion is this one. It tastes good and its texture is very reminiscent of sugar.

Healthy and good sweetener. Not as potent as chemical sweeteners but it's all about getting used to it.

Great for sugar removal
Gonzalo 13/03/2026
A great way to remove sugar from your sweets, but sweeten a little less than sugar, if you used 10 grams of sugar before, use 12 grams of erythritol.

Ok
Sam 08/03/2026
I add other ingredients to the jar of neutral proteins to have them already integrated on a daily basis, I use this one to improve flavor, although I don't put too much so that the compound doesn't become cloying like those that are already too sweet for my palate.

I am not convinced
Acordé al precio 24/02/2026
The truth is that it does not convince me too much, but maybe this is a problem of mine, rather by taste, it is the first time I try it, I expected something more.
