What is Inulin Powder?

Inulin Powder by RawSeries is a vegan food supplement in powdered form, Inulin from Cichorium intybus roots.

Inulin is a fructan with a linear structure and a 'long' chain. A fructan is a compound characterised by fructose units linked together in a configuration that prevents them from being degraded in the stomach, which is why they are categorised as 'dietary fibre'.

This food supplement is 100% suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.

Na HSN we have developed a product made from 100% pure inulin, extracted from chicory roots, using processes that do not damage the structure of the polymer, allowing it to retain all the organoleptic properties of fructans.

Culinary

Inulin is used as a texturiser, bulking agent and thickener. Many people use it in their recipes for these properties.

More specifically, inulin acts as a mimetic of fat sources added to baked goods (such as cakes and biscuits), increasing the softness of the food in the mouth, making it creamier.

Furthermore, inulin is sweet, albeit in a limited form. It is 3 times less sweet than sugar, but this is the reason why it also serves as a substitute for sugar in your recipes; it allows you to add less sugar, maintaining the taste and texture properties it provides, but with a lower calorie content.

    High quality soluble fiber. The first few times I paid the stop because I did not realize that by default it did not come with a dispenser unless you click on the purchase and select it.
