A shake for your busy days
Evowhey & Oats from SportSeries is a tasty food mix made from oat flour and whey protein concentrate, with sweetener.
If you’ve ever tried to improve a protein shake by adding oats yourself, you know what usually happens: it either turns watery with all the oats sinking to the bottom and poorly mixed, or it ends up like cement, or you get lumps and that gritty feeling that kills your desire to have it again. Evowhey & Oats was created exactly to tackle that: combining whey protein and ground oats in an easy-to-drink, quick, and practical format. A shake with carbs and protein that fits perfectly when you need to eat something fast without stopping too long.
Ready to mix and drink, no cooking needed.
What Evowhey & Oats is (and what it isn’t)
What it is
It’s a powdered mix for shakes that combines oat flour and whey protein concentrate (WPC). The idea is simple: to give you a blend with complex carbs and complete protein in one product, for specific moments (before or after training, as a quick breakfast, between meetings, etc.).
What it isn’t: not meant for porridge
Important: this product isn’t designed to make oat and protein porridge. It can thicken, yes, but its usual use is as a shake.
If you want a spoonable texture (like a hot breakfast or porridge), HSN has a better option: Protein Oat Porridge.
We used 'shake oats': fine and precooked
Oat flour: to get the whole oat experience without chunks
Here, oats aren’t in flakes or “little pieces” that float and stick to the shaker. They come as oat flour, so the shake is smooth and pleasant to drink, with no hard bits.
Precooked: made to mix cold
The oat flour is precooked. That means it’s treated to mix better and hydrate more easily. This translates into better digestibility than raw flour, which can feel heavy for some people.
Complex carbs ideal for everyone
Not just the protein powder, the oats in the shake count as 'real food': they provide a base of complex carbs in the food matrix that helps you cover your daily macros naturally.
The protein: WPC whey, the classic high-quality choice
What WPC means
Evowhey & Oats contains 'Oats' and Evowhey (WPC), which is whey protein concentrate. It’s the classic whey option in shakes: with a solid amino acid profile, complete; great taste and a texture that works really well in shakes.
Complete protein for a quality shake
Practically, the protein in this product makes sure the shake isn’t just “oat flour,” which is usually an ingredient for something else. It’s a shake with a strong protein part, designed for athletes and anyone looking for a quick way to eat something more complete than a simple protein shake.
- Proteins contribute to the maintenance and growth of muscle mass.
Balanced macros so you don’t have to worry
Perfect balance for maximum convenience and practicality
Instead of adding oats to your protein shake yourself, Evowhey & Oats already gives you a mix with a high protein profile and an optimal amount of carbs from oats. With many flavors available, you can enjoy a complete shake that’s more filling than whey alone and better when you need something quick between meals.
Carbs and protein in the same shake
For athletes, Evowhey & Oats fits especially well in those typical moments of “I need to eat something but don’t have time”: right after the gym, before leaving home, or between tasks when you don’t feel like improvising.
Evowhey & Oats texture: just right
Gear up with a shaker and nothing else!
Evowhey & Oats is made to be used with a shaker. The lecithin in the WPC helps mix the shake well, so forget about blenders, you don’t need them here.
“Just right” thickness: creamier, not pasty
The magic of Evowhey & Oats is in the balance: it thickens thanks to the oats it contains, but doesn’t get super dense. It’s perfect for drinking, like a protein shake but more complete.
Quick tips to avoid lumps
- Add the liquid first, then the powder.
- Shake for a few seconds, let it rest for half a minute, then shake again.
- Use a shaker with a mixing ball or grid.
When it can come in handy
Before training
If you train and are short on time, it’s a handy option when you want to have your pre-workout meal without cooking. Adjust the amount to your needs: some prefer something lighter if they train soon after, others take heavier shakes to be ready for long, demanding workouts.
After training
When you leave the gym and want something quick, a shake with protein and carbs is perfect: you prepare it and drink it, it’s more complete than a standard protein shake but light enough to let you prepare your solid post-workout meal once you get home.
Express breakfast or “in-between” meal
It also works as a go-to for office days, trips, or rushed mornings: a convenient and more complete shake, ready to prepare and drink without needing a microwave, spoon, or kitchen.
Common concerns and how we tackled them
'My shakes with oats turn gritty'
That’s typical when using flakes or coarse flours: the shake isn’t smooth. Here, the oat flour is designed for shake texture, with good integration and adapted flavor.
“No blender, no way to mix it”
Many people rely on blenders fearing lumps or because oats “clump up.” Evowhey & Oats is made to fix that: it mixes well with a shaker, with a perfect density and no need for a blender.
“I don’t want it to taste like raw flour”
Another classic: untreated oats with no flavor adjustment can leave a “chalky” aftertaste. Evowhey & Oats tastes like a normal protein shake but with extra body from the added oats.
Quick usage ideas
With water, if you want speed
The most straightforward option: quick shake, right texture; basically what Evowhey & Oats is made for. Perfect if you’re out or want something simple.
With milk or plant-based drink, for creaminess
If you want a shake with more flavor and a rounder mouthfeel, a dairy or plant-based base always improves it and adds nutritional value.
How to adjust your shake depending on your goal
If you want a lighter option
Make it more fluid (add more liquid) and use it as a quick shake, so you barely notice you’re having a shake with oats.
If you prefer it thicker
You can add more Evowhey & Oats, letting it sit a couple of minutes after shaking: the oats hydrate and the shake thickens. It’s a simple trick many use when they want more of a meal feeling.
If you’re in a bulking phase and struggle to hit your targets
On low appetite days, having protein and oats together usually helps you reach your macros without the fullness of a full meal.
Who it’s for: fits especially if…
- You want a shake more complete than just protein.
- You want a protein + carb combo in a quick, quality format.
- You’re looking for a smooth texture, no chunks, and delicious flavors to choose from according to your taste.
Questions and answers
Does it thicken a lot?
It does thicken. But the idea is to keep it a drinkable shake. If it feels too dense, adjust the liquid. If you let it rest, it thickens more (because the oats hydrate).
Do I need a blender?
No. It’s made to prepare just with a shaker.
Can I prepare it and take it with me?
Yes, but keep in mind it tends to thicken over time. Usually, you carry the powder in the shaker and add water when you’re ready to drink.
Is it good for cooking?
You can use it in recipes, but if your goal is cooking (pancakes, porridge, etc.), it’s probably better to use products designed for that or just oats and protein separately. Evowhey & Oats’ strong point is the quick shake.

Breakfast
Mariano 30/07/2023
With this flavor I like to make my breakfasts with very little water as if it were a custard and leave it overnight in the refrigerator. Nothing to envy to conventional ones. Also very good flavor in grilled pancakes.

Good product.
Manu 22/04/2023
It is a product that I am not used to taking. I prefer to mix protein isolate with oat powder and thus calculate the proportions that suit me best. But for many people this product will be more practical.

Excellent for me
negojobs 02/02/2026
I really used to use oatmeal and protein among other supplements, but this makes me more comfortable packaging as I have a cabinet full of containers for HSN stuff and now I mix in a bottle 2 different pre-workouts, use this product and save me another space etc.. Good flavors and good price. Recommendable.

If you are looking to take protein for your muscles and carbohydrates for an energy boost it is perfect. The presentation fails me, as the bottle is much more convenient.

Chocolate
Darío 20/10/2025
The chocolate flavor is not bad but the chocolate and cookie flavor is better. Chocolate alone when you have been taking it for a while can become heavy and a good alternative is to combine it with cookies.
