Within the Gourmet meals, those prepared with more exotic ingredients and from high standing cuisine, you have 5 different options to switch up depending on what you feel like eating each day; plus, thanks to the excellent nutritional profile of our ready meals, you can eat them daily without worrying about missing out on essential nutrients, as these are nutritionally balanced recipes, prepared traditionally with natural ingredients.
The gourmet meal options you can choose from are:

However, the sauces offer an interesting contrast, because unlike the common base of carbs and protein in gourmet ready meals, their sauces are unique and have very distinct personalities, so you can pick what you feel like eating each day and enjoy different and exotic flavors every meal, so you don’t get bored or have to repeat.

This is way more practical, since the fridge space they take up can be a dealbreaker for many who can’t afford to fill a shelf completely just by storing 4 or 5 trays. With our ready meals, you don’t use up fridge space and can store them anywhere in your kitchen, pantry, or cupboard. Easy and practical.

- If you have a big appetite or follow a hypercaloric diet: you can pair it with a second dish, like veggies and lean protein sources, such as a vegetable salad with natural tuna.
- If you have a small appetite or follow a hypocaloric diet: you can split the tray in two, to share or eat in two sittings, though ideally we recommend pairing it with at least one more light meal portion.

Balanced supply of calories, protein, and carbs
Although the main focus of HSN gourmet recipes is enjoying an incredible and delicious flavor from the best ingredient selection and their combination, their nutritional contribution is also something we’ve kept in mind.
Gourmet ready meals provide an adequate carb content, enough to satisfy you and enjoy the pasta and buckwheat base in good quantity, while not being excessive for non-athletes who maintain a diet with a more moderate carb content.
The chicken base is present—not a tiny amount like in some other ready meals—you see juicy chicken pieces on the plate and can savor them, enjoying high-quality meat prepared carefully to avoid drying out. This chicken contributes to a good protein content.

Why do HSN meals have rapeseed oil?
Rapeseed oil is a seed oil that has an unfair bad reputation, as it was involved in a pesticide contamination scandal decades ago affecting the safety of oil from that batch, which ended up on the black market. However, outside that event, rapeseed oil isn’t unhealthy; on the contrary, it’s loaded with polyunsaturated fatty acids like omega-6.
Our ready meals are prepared by specialist chefs in Poland, following our guidelines, and among the cooking oil options available was rapeseed oil, one of the main unsaturated oils used in the country thanks to its good nutritional profile, heat resistance during cooking, and versatility. It’s considered the “olive oil of the north.”
Rapeseed oil is excellent for preparing our ready meals because it doesn’t add a strong flavor, is a base that doesn’t go rancid thanks to its good stability, and provides heart-healthy fatty acids—perfect for healthy cooking.
Great for people who don’t like spicy
Love spicy? Then Fit meals are definitely for you.
But if spicy isn’t your thing and you prefer flavors with low pungency or no spicy taste at all, gourmet meals are for you.
Only the Pasta with chicken in tomato and paprika sauce recipe has a spicy taste, since paprika (pimentón) is dried red pepper (chili) with a mild to moderate pungency level, noticeable in the dish but not extremely intense. It’s slightly less spicy than the 'Fit Rice With Chicken In Indian-Style Curry Sauce' and could be rated about 2.5/5 on the spice scale.
The rest of the gourmet recipes have no spicy taste, and any pungent spices used are in such small amounts that they don’t add spiciness to the dish, making them ideal if you usually prefer low-spice meals.
Gourmet recipe sauces have creamy cream bases, with mild flavors like honey, mustard, or fine herbs; all flavors that aren’t spicy but naturally mild.
Why don’t they need refrigeration?
You might find it confusing that HSN ready meals, being healthy, natural recipes like you’d make at home, allow something you can’t achieve with homemade dishes: once prepared, they keep without refrigeration for months. How is that possible?
This is thanks to the thermal sterilization process and protective atmosphere packaging, which requires meticulous industrial control to achieve, and while it’s a natural preservation improvement, it can’t be done at home.
Thermal sterilization isn’t strange or harmful; the process is simple: you need to raise the meal’s temperature above 100ºC once prepared, then immediately cool it down very quickly; this not only ensures the best recipe preservation but also prepares it to last for months in good condition.
Once thermal sterilization finishes, in an aseptic environment, the film covering the ready meal tray is sealed, creating a protective atmosphere that keeps the food fresh without refrigeration for a long time, as the tray’s interior environment is controlled and maintains the preservative properties of thermal sterilization.
Our ready meals are natural, of course, but this is possible thanks to the preparation process. If you open the tray’s film and release the food’s protective atmosphere, it behaves like a recipe you’d make yourself and should be consumed the same day, storing it in the fridge if needed.
