Leucine can be as useful as you want, but it is hydrophobic (doesn't mix with anything) and the taste is very bitter. Not HSN's fault, no doubt, but it is unpalatable.

On its own, it is quite unpleasant, but I use it to complement the evobeef 2.0 with no extra (or flavor) and it usually has a teaspoon of defatted cocoa or some extra that covers up the whole flavor problem, honestly taking it dry is quite difficult.
