In my particular case it has a great effect and helps me to fall asleep. From my experience, it works better than any medication to treat insomnia (no hangover, less tolerance to the dose, better sleep). Of course, it all depends on the person. Having tried many sleep products, for me this is undoubtedly the best, even above others that have melatonin and relaxing additives. As an important caveat. 5HTP has been shown to have negative side effects if taken long term. It also has interactions with other medications or drugs that can be fatal (see "serotoninergic syndrome").
En mi caso particular tiene un gran efecto y me ayuda a conciliar el sueño. Desde mi experiencia, funciona mejor que cualquier medicamento para tratar el insomnio (no deja resaca, la tolerancia a la dosis es menor, se duerme mejor). Claro está que todo depende de la persona.
Habiendo probado muchos productos para dormir, sin duda para mi este es el mejor, incluso por encima de otros que llevan melatonina, y añadidos relajantes.
Como advertencia importante. El 5HTP se ha demostrado que tiene efectos secundarios negativos se si toma a largo plazo. También tiene interacción con otros medicamentos o drogas que puede ser fatal (ver "sindrome serotoninergico").
