The bilberry extract is obtained from the fruit of Vaccinium myrtillus. Its high 100:1 ratio allows concentrating a large amount of plant matter into a practical extract amount. It also provides defined contents of anthocyanins and anthocyanidins, the natural compounds responsible for the characteristic dark color of these berries.
The formula adds 3:1 extract of the stigmas of Crocus sativus, a key component of saffron, together with a 25:1 flower extract of Tagetes erecta, which helps improve visual acuity. Standardized in lutein and zeaxanthin.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are incorporated via a microencapsulated raw material. This format helps protect the carotenoids and allows them to be evenly integrated into the capsules. We’ve also used microencapsulated vitamin A from beta-carotene and natural vitamin E in the form of D-α-tocopheryl acid succinate.
We complete the composition with zinc and copper as bisglycinate. In these forms, the mineral is bound to glycine, giving rise to chelated raw materials chosen for quality.
